Study this in the university may have some aspects that remains me the school subject of this. But also it has very big obvious differences. We get here with a certain level of knowledge, a base, we get to test our abilities here and also learn some of the basic that is fundamental in English, always there is a lack in some area. The grammar and the oral activities have helped me a lot, I think is because is a mix of a ''less formal English'', a one we use in communications of daily life. It gives us the instruments and the place to get better and better in this language. Also, the comparison tips between the kinds of English are very useful.
My personal lack is when I have to talk, I get so nervous, I mostly think that my pronunciation sucks and generally I get tangled with my tongue because I'm not a quick thinker so to answer to someone or to keep a conversation I'm so slow, kind of sad story. When I went abroad, to the States, I can say that I understand everything or mostly everything that I hear but it was really hard to talk. I have to work it out, probably I will end up talking alone to practice pronunciation of different words, I want to make more conversations with my friends that are very good in English too. Also, I will keep watching series, movies in the language and videos for example from bloggers that are ''natives'', that hand the English in their way is like a form to practice.
About the blogs, I really liked to write them because I simply like ''to write'' and it gives the opportunity to do it and do it of different topics, we can't write something like that in any other subject here in the university. Is certain that some themes were kind of dull but that's the program and we couldn't do anything about it. In the end, all were like a little ''relief''.
The use of English in the day by day for me may be related with all the globalization present nowadays, we use it unconsciously in the social media, the internet is full of it too. Videos, series, music, movies, posts of different topics; one less important than others. I imagine that those are my kind of uses of English out of the class.
